DPR intelligence learned the name of the Ukrainian Armed Forces commander who gave the order to shell Yasinovataya
The Ukrainian side stated that yesterday’s shelling of Yasinovataya was a response to the DPR’s shelling of Ukrainian Armed Forces positions located in an open field. The DPR called this accusation false.

Deputy Commander of the DPR Operational Command Eduard Basurin stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday evening at 22 p.m., the Ukrainian Armed Forces launched an artillery strike from 122 mm guns from the western outskirts of the village of Avdievka to the center of the village of Yasinovataya. A total of 28 shells were fired into the city center.
The Ukrainian command tried to justify this crime by saying that this was a response to the shelling of their positions in the area of Avdievka, which was allegedly carried out by the Republic,” commented Eduard Basurin.
Once again, he emphasized the fact that the DPR Armed Forces do not fire using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements.
“We know the war criminal who gave the order to use artillery - this is the commander of the 25th Airborne Brigade O.V. Zenchenko.
Currently, the investigative authorities of the Republic are preparing materials to initiate criminal cases regarding this crime. In particular, representatives of the Public Commission have already carried out work to document this war crime. Now they are preparing their materials for subsequent sending to the International Criminal Court,” said Eduard Basurin.
