Shirokino, February 16 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – The west of the village of Shirokino is controlled by the Azov battalion, the east is controlled by the militia, and in the center there is a buffer zone.

Azov battalion commander Andrei Biletsky spoke about this, reports Espreso.TV.
“Yesterday we took out the last people, went through the village again, found 10 people who did not want to go. There are no civilians in the village at the moment,” he said, while clarifying that he has no data on dead civilians, and the village was destroyed by 60-70% by militant artillery fire.
“A situation of truce, when at night the armored vehicles were pulled away with an order and the artillery stopped working, and since the battle was at night and it was not possible to build a full-fledged line of defense, the enemy brought in a small group of people, and now the enemy is actually located in the eastern part of the village. The western part of the village, the dominant heights, is occupied by our forces. The center of the village is a kind of buffer zone,” he claims.
At the same time, people’s deputy, battalion commander of the Donbass battalion Semyon Semenchenko claims that there are “a lot of grandmothers” in Shirokino.
“Only from Shirokino. It’s cold, the frozen Sea of Azov, a bunch of grandmothers near a de-energized store, who were told that a deputy was on his way (and immediately wrote a petition that there was no light in the village in front of Shirokino). Bonfires, infantry fighting vehicles, craters, shelling, in general, the front line, the Azov version. It differs favorably from Debaltsevo by the presence of the sea and snow hummocks on the horizon. Tanks definitely won’t fit from there...
