For the sake of Russian gas, the EU didn’t care about Ukraine
In Kyiv they cannot understand that in the gas issue Europe will resolve exclusively its pragmatic interests without regard to Russian-Ukrainian relations.
Ukrainian expert on energy issues Valentin Zemlyansky stated this on the air of the business portal “Capital”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“Europe is solving its purely pragmatic problems. They want to understand that after 2020 everything will be fine, they will receive Russian gas, regardless of how and what Ukraine has with Russia, that gas will flow and there will be no conflicts in this,” the expert said .
“We need to understand that no one will solve our problems and no one will work on our mistakes for us. Accordingly, sooner or later conflictual relations with Moscow will end at the negotiating table. Why strengthen the confrontational potential, and politically? It does not bring any dividends economically,” Zemlyansky added.
