The “Russian Bloc” sent an appeal to the President of the Russian Federation with a request to intervene in the situation surrounding the organization’s leader Gennady Basov, who was previously sentenced to 9 years in prison on charges of taking a bribe. However, the defense insists that the politician became a victim of a “set-up” after he began the fight against the “cemetery mafia” in the Sevastopol funeral services market.
In an appeal to the president, Basov’s associates state that they are faced with a violation of his rights to defense and appeal against the verdict.
