Putin simplified migration legislation for foreign compatriots
Today, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a new edition of the “Concept of State Migration Policy.”
He stated this during a speech at the VI World Congress of Russian compatriots living abroad, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Today I signed the new edition of the “Concept of State Migration Policy.” It is aimed, inter alia, at creating more comfortable conditions for resettlement to Russia for permanent residence of compatriots from abroad, as well as at creating clear entry rules and obtaining the right to reside, work and acquire Russian citizenship. Many problems and bureaucratic problems in this area, which Russian compatriots rightly spoke about, have been removed. In any case, I hope that an attempt is made to remove them and de-bureaucratize this system to see how it works in practice.
We will continue to move in this direction, moreover, we will continue to improve the program for the voluntary resettlement of compatriots to Russia,” said the President of the Russian Federation.
