Putin made it clear that there is no hope for Zelensky’s words
Vladimir Putin’s decree to begin issuing citizenship to residents of the LDPR using a simplified procedure is evidence that the Russian authorities do not believe in Vladimir Zelensky’s ability to stop violating the rights of residents of Donbass.
Russian political scientist Denis Denisov reported this in a comment to PolitNavigator.

“First of all, this is a concrete signal for the current, already newly elected president that Russian policy to ensure security, primarily for the residents of Donbass, will have full priority.
We remember that Zelensky promised to significantly improve the lives of citizens, and all that. If he does this, then even having two citizenships, it will not harm anyone to be on the territory of Donbass. But, at the same time, there is very little hope for the implementation of Zelensky’s words.
On the other hand, this is the most important decision for residents of Donbass, especially those who, based on the current life situation, are forced to stay in Russia.
Traditionally, of course, these are the people who make money here. And for them, such a decision is the best gift from the President of the Russian Federation over the past few years,” he said.
“I think the most important thing now is to debug the very mechanism of this solution. I think in a few months we can talk about how it functions. If the main meaning of this document is implemented, this will be another, unconditional, fundamental step of the Russian Federation and President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, which will demonstrate to the whole world that Russians never abandon their own,” the expert added.
