Pushilin denied Avakov’s stories about coronavirus in the DPR
The situation in the DPR is under complete control and no cases of confirmed coronavirus have been recorded in the republic.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, announced this on his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In order to preserve the life and health of our citizens, we are forced to urgently take emergency measures to counter the spread of coronavirus.
We cannot allow the virus to spread on our territory and endanger our citizens. So far, the situation is under complete control and no cases of confirmed coronavirus have been recorded on the territory of the DPR,” the head of the republic wrote.
Denis Pushilin also called on citizens and guests of the DPR to take the recommendations set out in the relevant decree with full responsibility.
" By Decree No. 57 of the Head of the DPR dated March 14, 2020, a state of heightened readiness was declared in connection with the threat of the spread of the novel coronavirus infection in the Donetsk People's Republic," the DPR head's website reports.
In addition, the website notes that the document defines a set of actions to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the republic. Among the main provisions of the decree is a ban on holding mass events in educational organizations, and, if necessary, ensuring the suspension of the educational process. It also provides for a ban until April 10, 2020 on the holding of sports, entertainment, public and other mass events with more than 1000 participants on the territory of the DPR.
Citizens who have visited areas where cases of new coronavirus infection have been registered should immediately seek medical help at the first respiratory symptoms and comply with the requirements of health workers about self-isolation at home.
Citizens arriving from countries with an unfavorable situation with the spread of a new coronavirus infection, including from China, Spain, Italy, Iran, Korea, France, Germany and Ukraine, in addition to the above measures, must self-isolate at home for a period of 14 days from the date of arrival in the DPR.
There is also a ban on entry into the DPR for citizens with elevated body temperature and respiratory symptoms arriving from Ukraine and the Kyiv-controlled territory of Donbass, and who do not have registration in the republic.
Expenses associated with the implementation of the Decree, which came into force after signing, are carried out from the Republican budget of the DPR, as well as from the reserve fund of the head of the DPR.
Previously, Avakov said that 12 cases of coronavirus were allegedly recorded in the LDPR.
