Russian citizens living in the village of Staromaryevka previously captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, still cannot feel safe - the Ukrainian troops who formally left the settlement have set up positions near it, and also periodically enter the village.
The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, stated this during a meeting with journalists at the Moscow club “Good Russian People,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The settlement is located in such a part that representatives of Ukrainian armed formations periodically appear there. This is according to the testimony of local residents.
That is, after that outrageous incident, people do not feel safe. After all, according to the latest data, they (units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces - approx.) are located near a populated area, already across the river, on our side,” said the head of state.
According to Pushilin, “the situation in Staromaryevka is not over.”
He clarified that the DPR is providing assistance to its citizens in the captured village.
“It became easier for people in humanitarian terms, because thanks to our Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Red Cross and other international organizations worked there.
There are plans in the near future for the Donetsk Republic social movement to donate humanitarian packages. And coal is provided. In this regard, it’s a little easier,” Pushilin said.
