Tymoshenko's staffers, who failed the campaign, predict a split for both Medvedchuk and Poroshenko
The parties OPZZH and European Solidarity, which received good results in local elections in Ukraine, have the same problem - internal contradictions around what to fight for, and this, as a rule, leads political forces to a split.
This was stated at a press conference by Ukrainian political scientist Viktor Nebozhenko, who serves the headquarters of Yulia Tymoshenko, who received more than a modest result in the last elections due to the failed campaign of technologists who continue to rely on Ukrainian nationalism, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The processes will begin in Poroshenko’s semi-successful Eurosolidarity party. In fact, if you look at the people who went under this Eurosolidarity umbrella to the city councils of cities in Western Ukraine, you will see a lot of young patriots there - this is not what Poroshenko needs. Here you go, 30 people from Poroshenko entered the Lviv City Council. But those whom I know, with whom I spoke, these people are not going to work “both yours and ours” and ensure Poroshenko’s political old age.
That is, most likely, Poroshenko’s Eurosolidarity party will have to face three conflicts and splits. I think this will be a problem for the new nationalists, this will be a problem for the Euro-democrats, and this will be a problem for the personal team of former President Poroshenko,” said Tymoshenko’s spokesman.
At the same time, according to him, the same thing is observed among Medvedchukov’s OPZH members.
“They also have their own politics. Besides the fact that they really took root in the South-East of Ukraine, and about the rest, they had all this, they have the main question - what to fight for? For peace? Well, it’s like the “green stuff” is struggling. For justice? Well, the left, so they are all multimillionaires - Boyko, Lyovochkin, Rabinovich, Medvedchuk. It is somehow difficult to imagine that the degradation of Ukrainian politics has reached such an extent that these people will become the left vanguard. Still, some kind of leftist party will appear there,” Nebozhenko said.
