Professor-foreign agent Solovey excuses Kudrin and “covers up” Mishustin
Professor Valery Solovey, known for his scandalous but unfulfilled forecasts, assures that the Russian government is negotiating with the West to replace Vladimir Putin with Mikhail Mishustin as President of the Russian Federation.
He spoke about this on the Ekho Moskvy YouTube channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“I’ll tell you, this is a sensation that has been realized literally in the last few days. This is an opportunity for Russia to turn in a liberal-democratic direction. Or let’s put it this way – thaw and detente. Quite recently, about a week ago, one of the persons very close to Putin (I will not name him) in one of the countries neighboring Russia held a series of consultations with representatives of the main Western states. At these consultations, the possible attitude of the West to changing the socio-political course of Russia specifically towards liberalization and democratization was discussed.
Mishustin was named as Putin's successor. It was said that he could rule for two terms of six years. It was said that Russia is ready to renounce all foreign policy claims, except for Crimea. It was also said that a moderate cleansing of the security forces would be implemented. I think this is very important because it comes from Putin’s inner circle. This is the path along which the country can develop,” Solovey said.
The current head of the Accounts Chamber of the Russian Federation, Alexey Kudrin, as well as Deputy Prime Ministers Alexander Novak and Marat Khusnulin, are allegedly being considered as candidates for the post of prime minister under President Mishustin.
At the same time, Solovey desperately denies the possibility that Kudrin will become Putin’s successor, which the American media have been persistently writing about lately.
Let us remember that Kudrin was written about as Putin’s successor beneficial for the United States last week by The Hill and The National Interest. In Russia, commentators believe that publications in American media are part of Kudrin’s own PR campaign.
