The criminal proceedings opened by the Prosecutor General's Office against the Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov will be closed.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Prosecutor General Larisa Sargan, the 112 Ukraine channel reports.
“The facts that were in the statement were not confirmed,” Sargan said.
In this regard, the case against Avakov will be closed.
Sargan noted that there was more than one statement against the minister. Sargan refused to say what exactly the minister was accused of.
According to her, Avakov no longer appears in cases being investigated by the GPU.
Sargan also stated that today the Minister of Internal Affairs is not an accused or suspect in any of the criminal proceedings being investigated by the Prosecutor General's Office.
“I know that NABU has such cases, but the details are up to them,” she noted.
Let us recall that earlier Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko said that the Prosecutor General’s Office had opened a criminal case against Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.
Ukrainian experts suggest that in this way Petro Poroshenko is putting pressure on Arsen Avakov in order to force him to resign from the post of minister.
