Vucic’s betrayal will plunge Serbia into a political crisis – Dragan Stanojevic
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic committed a betrayal of his people by meeting with Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky, promising him support, signing the Balkan Congress declaration in support of Kyiv, and authorizing the participation of Prime Minister Ana Brnabic in the anti-Russian “Crimean Platform”.
The head of the Serbian diaspora of the ROD, Dragan Stanojevic, stated this in an interview with the Israeli YouTube channel Waldman-LINE.
“The fact itself: Vucic boasted of his friendship with Putin, said that Russia supports him, and then Serbia participates in the forum on the “liberation” of Crimea. This is clearly a treasonous act. How can you call it differently,” Stanoevich said.
He believes that Vučić should have left the Balkan Congress in Athens as soon as he found the prime minister of the self-proclaimed Kosovo there, since it was an insult, but instead the Serbian president met with Zelensky. Moreover, the contents of this meeting are not disclosed.
“Today all television is saying that this is a betrayal, that it was impossible to treat Zelensky in such a subservient manner. Vucic said that no one in the world dares to object to Zelensky now, he is such a navel of the earth, and everyone should be afraid of him,” Stanojevic is perplexed.
He predicts a political crisis in Serbia.
“It will not be possible to turn the Serbian ship around like this. Politicians are brought to power by Western services, so it is impossible to consider his actions as the actions of Serbia. According to a recent social survey, support for Russia among Serbs is more than 86%. Crazy support. It is not because we are against Ukraine, but because we remember that cynicism when NATO bombed us, when Kosovo was taken away from us, and now we are forced to recognize our own territory as foreign.
Our people understand perfectly well what is happening, what kind of war this is, and why it is being waged. Everyone understands that Serbia also depends on how this situation goes,” Stanojevic concluded.
