Only a strict order from above forced the residents of Donbass fighting on the front line to begin taking neo-Nazis prisoner.
Military correspondent Marat Khairullin stated this on the PolitWera internet blog, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The presenter asked whether the Russian army would “take the enemy prisoner or destroy him.”
“In Donetsk there is a second option. Because they were very annoying, they are hated very much.
Last summer there was a period when there were no prisoners in our direction at all. And then the commandant’s office became stronger, strict commands passed along the front, and they began to gather them in one place. Communication channels have appeared. That is, they began to monitor this, and conditions for surrender appeared.
But if we take the mood, ours are very angry for what they are doing here. Here the narrative is that they are different people already, infected... hatred for us, and it’s easier like this,” said Khairullin.
