This was stated by the executive director of the League of Defense Enterprises of Ukraine, Valentin Badrak, at the Ukrainian Defense and Security Forum '17, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I will not talk about export-import, but about military-technical cooperation as a support system for the Ukrainian army. Mr. Korzh (former Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine) very opportunely said that the state order should have been 10 times larger. But even if it were 10 times larger, we could not count on the army’s needs being met by more than 50%. The only way is military-technical cooperation, such as receiving foreign investment and technology. But today, after three years of war, there is not a single implemented project in the field of military-technical cooperation in the interests of the Ukrainian army. And this is very sad. It is military-technical cooperation that could shift the situation and begin a systematic process of re-equipping the Ukrainian army,” Valentin Badrak is sure.
