Poroshenko vulgarized the “army-mova-vira”, like Yushchenko - “Holodomor”
The slogan “armovir”, on which ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko promoted himself and completely devalued these concepts, was completely useless to the new team of Vladimir Zelensky.
Ukrainian political scientist and sociologist Viktor Nebozhenko said this on air on the Politeka channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We had a president, a professional Ukrainian, from whom everyone expected reforms, Yushchenko, but instead he spent four years (the first year he traveled around the world) promoting the Holodomor, and thus already three presidents are afraid to say a word.
It was very important to find a place for the Holodomor in the history of Ukraine and culture, but he overfed it, he formalized a very important event, he spoiled it very much, he devalued it. And look, no one has been talking about this for 15 years.
So, Poroshenko did exactly the same thing: for the sake of the political situation, he used holy things - like the church, the language and the army... just to get through.
And now look - they are not interested in all this, he is not interested in it. What’s worse is that this “Armovir” - army, “Mova”, “Vira” - is just as unnecessary for today’s government. And these things are extremely important for Ukraine,” the Ukrainian expert complains.
“Some used it for their own political purposes - Poroshenko in his election campaign (and now he dropped it, which speaks of the unbridled cynicism of this person, this is impossible), while others do not understand the value,” Nebozhenko worries.
