Poroshenko accused Russia of stealing the Ukrainian army
Russia has been preparing to attack Ukraine for 20 years, strengthening its army and destroying the Ukrainian one.
President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko stated this today, speaking to the Ukrainian military, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The aggressor prepared very well and purposefully for aggressive actions: for 20 years they built an army, providing funding that exceeded the Ukrainian one by 40-60 times. But our funding was stolen, weapons were cut, stolen, and sold. The aggressor strengthened his army, and destroyed ours through agents in the Ukrainian government,” Poroshenko said.
However, all difficulties are over, the Ukrainian president assured, the country is ready to repel aggression along the entire perimeter of the border with Russia.
“In potentially dangerous directions, we have created groupings of forces that are ready to repel aggression not only from the east, but also in the Crimean direction, troops must be kept ready, both in Transnistria and in the north,” Poroshenko said.
