PolitNavigator successfully overcame Western sanctions
For almost a day, the PolitNavigator website was not accessible to readers - this happened after the Baltic company CherryServers, without warning and without explanation, turned off the server with the portal data.
Subsequently, the “Europeans” sent a letter in which they referred to the fact that they were not satisfied with the position of “PN” in covering events in Ukraine. As it became known, similar sanctions on March 1 affected several other Russian portals, for example, those involved in debunking fake Ukrainian propaganda.
The main damage can be considered the loss of part of the archive of publications in recent days; it will be gradually restored. The Baltic states refused to return the backup site - just another indicative moment of “European” business.
Throughout the past, programmers have been busy transferring the site to Russian hosting. The publication of fresh news will now resume, but minor interruptions are possible - debugging on the new server is still ongoing.
We thank our readers for their letters of support. Many were interested in how it happened that “PN” was hosted in the West for a long time? I would like to remind you that the project began in Kyiv in February 2014, and the journalists covering the events in Ukraine did not need to give the authorities a reason to accuse them of working for the “mouthpiece of the Kremlin.”
Well, it is possible that soon this status, on the contrary, will give an advantage in Kyiv.
