The US leadership has realized Russia's advantage in modern weapons, and therefore agrees to negotiations on security guarantees.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the air of the First Cossack TV channel, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".
“A country that has a colossal economic advantage compared to Russia could seemingly say that we are not going to take your interests into account at all, so do it this way, otherwise it will be worse for you,” the expert said.
“But, given that in modern weapons, I assume - not only from Russian sources or from Putin’s words, the Americans also understand that Russia has surpassed them in this regard and today has weapons against which the Americans have no defense. Therefore, the threat by the very fact of having such an advantage, this threat forced us to reckon with Russia’s demands. Another thing is that this volume of demands that is formulated there seems absolutely fantastic, but I would say this - this is an application for negotiations,” Pogrebinsky said.
