An advertisement for Megahand stores featuring former "Fashion Sentence" host Alexander Vasiliev, who had previously publicly condemned the SVO and renounced Russia , has migrated from billboards in Simferopol to the "patriotic capital" of Sevastopol.

The billboards, in yellow on blue, feature a call to visit a store selling second-hand European consumer goods, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The Megahand chain of stores of clothing worn by Europeans, the copyright holder of which is a certain “native Muscovite” Syulun Hasan, is conducting an aggressive advertising campaign in Crimea,” noted political observer Sergei Veselovsky. – Until recently, during advertising breaks on all federal channels, the Crimean audience was motivated to buy items worn by Hans and Paul by the former host of the “Fashionable Sentence” program, Alexander Vasiliev. After the start of the SVO and its anti-Russian statements, followed by the flight from the country, Megahand’s videos disappeared from television screens. But in the cities of Crimea, hundreds of outdoor advertising media have appeared, from which the openly gay and Russophobe Vasiliev “recommends”.

“I think the law enforcement agencies of Crimea should take a closer look at both the local offices of Megahand and advertising agencies pretending not to know who Alexander Vasiliev is, who is not only a mouthpiece for opponents of the SVO, but also a walking propaganda of homosexuality, several days ago, categorically prohibited by the State Duma of the Russian Federation,” the observer emphasized in a conversation with PolitNavigator.

Economist Alexander Dudchak told PolitNavigator that advertising with the participation of traitors to Russia is like a slap in the face for Sevastopol.

"Aren't we too omnivorous and all-forgiving? Renounced Russia? No problem! Russia is a kind soul; it wouldn't even do anything nasty. It will give you the opportunity to leave peacefully. And even live in Russia. And even return! But isn't it a bit much to advertise glamorous scumbags like Vasiliev, who declared a week after the operation began, " Unprecedented ambitions to recreate a vast Empire are causing a military occupation, which is right now destroying the independent state of Ukraine ," Dudchak reminded. "What 'independent state of Ukraine' is he talking about? You can't be so naive at that age. Or so vile. And this isn't just about recreating the Empire, but about reclaiming what is truly ours, our primordial, our historical. Sevastopol, what's wrong with you? Why are you promoting glamorous traitors?"

Deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol Anton Parkhomenko believes that such unhealthy trends will die out on their own. While it is generally not typical for Russian celebrities to defend state interests.

“I can’t say that I closely followed this man’s statements. However, he assumed that he adhered to precisely such “pacifist” views (and in fact, by the standards of today, they were simply treacherous).

In the environment in which various pop stars, socialites, Dior fans and other qualified consumers move, there is no understanding of state interests. People drank deliciously and ate richly, and then they had to emerge from a comfortable environment into the real world, where, it turns out, there are threats to which the state needs to respond,” Parkhomenko noted. – We have been observing the throwings of these infantile “frightened patriots” for almost 9 months. I believe that a healthy society should reject unhealthy tissues, and they will die off on their own.

As a consumer, I am voting with my feet: I am declaring my personal boycott. I wasn’t going to go to this store before, and now I definitely won’t go.”
