First Army Corps of the DPR: three years guarding the republic
Today in Donetsk, at the Drama Theater, a solemn event was held dedicated to the third anniversary of the creation of the First Army Corps of the DPR Ministry of Defense, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The Head of the DPR and Supreme Commander-in-Chief Alexander Zakharchenko addressed those present with a congratulatory speech:
“No country in the world has been able to build an army in such a short period of time. We did it here, and, first of all, this is the merit of you, each of you: generals, officers, privates. It is your daily work that created this army, so I want to say thank you to everyone present in the hall performing military service. It is a holiday today. I cordially congratulate you all on this day, I wish you and your families health, prosperity and that we all return from combat. In our Republic there is the “First Army Corps”, which means that there will be a second, third, fourth and so on... We are growing, and we all have two tasks: the first is to protect our citizens, and the second, most important thing is to win.” - said Zakharchenko.
DPR Defense Minister Vladimir Kononov added:
“I would like to wish you good health, patience, endurance, continue to improve your combat experience (and you have plenty of it), do not forget that the enemy does not sleep, continues to improve. And you need to improve, learn and, most importantly, reinforce it.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the corps, Vladimir Kononov awarded particularly distinguished military personnel with orders, medals and memorial signs.
At the end of the event, creative groups from Donetsk performed in front of those present with a festive concert.
