The truce in Donbass does not suit either Putin or the militias (VIDEO)
Kyiv, September 13 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The current status quo resulting from the truce in Donbass does not suit either side of the conflict. Director of the analytical center “Expert Council” Iskander Khisamov stated this at a press conference in Kyiv.

“It seems to me that Russia does not need such peace and such a small fence in a state of frozen conflict,” the expert believes. “It is absolutely clear that Moscow needs regional political representation in the Ukrainian authorities, which would prevent Ukraine from being quickly drawn into NATO and Western structures.”
According to the expert, the current conditions of the truce do not provide Moscow with such leverage, which gives grounds for other types of activity or interpretations.
“For the same reason, the truce does not suit the leadership of the self-named LPR and DPR, since fixing them on the current territories creates an unfavorable territorial configuration and an unclear status,” continued Iskander Khisamov. – From the statements of Poroshenko and his advisers, it is completely unclear what will happen there. But this is unlikely to satisfy the guys from the named republics. Moreover, against the backdrop and on the wave of recent successes, they have some kind of joyful excitement that they can still go forward.”
