The UN recorded crimes of the Ukrainian military in the DPR
The shelling by Azov militants of the village of Sakhanka in the DPR, which resulted in the burning of a residential building, was carried out while UN representatives were working in the area.
Official representative of the UNM DPR Daniil Bezsonov stated this at a briefing today, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“We cannot ignore the fact that on July 27, the Azov nationalists shelled the settlement of Sakhanka from a 120-mm mortar, which resulted in the burning of a residential building, took place against the backdrop of ongoing work by UN representatives in the area to study the situation and prepare a report on the entry of peacekeeping mission to the conflict zone,” said Daniil Bezsonov.
Thus, according to the representative of the defense department, the Azov militants not only demonstrated their lack of control over the command of the occupation forces and Naev personally, but also generally discredited the Ukrainian side in this conflict.
“According to information received from reliable sources accompanying UN representatives, the fact of shelling, which resulted in the destruction of civilian infrastructure on our territory, will be included in the final report of the UN Mission for the report to the General Assembly,” Daniil Bezsonov said in conclusion.
The UN has documented crimes committed by Ukrainian soldiers in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
