Olesya Yakhno: All of Russia is perceived as a madhouse
Self-described “political scientist” Olesya Yakhno, known for her participation in talk shows as a guest from Ukraine, declared Russia a “madhouse.” She said this on the air of the Ukrainian service of Radio Liberty, discussing the nomination of Russian President Vladimir Putin for a new term.

“Now the whole country is perceived as a madhouse. I mean virtuality, which replaces the perception of reality... Or this isolationism will deepen, and then Russia will completely fall out as a major subject of geopolitics on its own initiative from making important decisions. Relatively speaking, does Russia not want to take a constructive position on North Korea, Syria or Ukraine? They will decide without Russia, putting pressure on Russia,” Yakhno shared her thoughts.
