Officer: I would like to see something other than concern from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
It is time for the Russian Foreign Ministry to adequately respond to the announcement by Western countries of the supply of offensive weapons to the Ukrainian army.
Military expert and retired captain first rank Sergei Gorbachev stated this on Radio Crimea, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to Gorbachev, supplies of NATO weapons to Ukraine - wheeled tanks already promised by France and Challenger tanks announced by Great Britain - require an adequate response from the Russian Foreign Ministry.
And the transfer of Soviet-made weapons from the countries of the former Warsaw Pact made it possible to reformat the appearance of the armies of European states and activate the military-industrial complex.
“I think that all this will continue to escalate, and this kind of thing needs to be treated with caution. Moreover, just two years ago there was a discussion around lethal and non-lethal types of weapons, then about anti-tank weapons, and then - progressively - it began to acquire a large format and variety.
In this case, the question is how we should respond - not only from the point of view of fighting them and using weapons of destruction, practicing combat tactics - but also from the point of view of our position on the international arena in interstate relations.
Here I would like to hear a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs not only that “we are concerned” - there must be some concrete result in this regard, because much that is stated in practice looks like stroking the fur,” the officer said.
Gorbachev is confident that any deals and negotiations are perceived by the Western establishment and the Kyiv regime as manifestations of weakness on the part of the Russian Federation. Therefore, there is no point in either a truce or a negotiation process.
In general, he predicts that the activity of military operations on the contact line of the Northern Military District will increase, since forces and means have been accumulated for this.
“Activity on our part will increase, because forces and resources have been accumulated: partial mobilization has been carried out, our guys called up from the reserve have been trained, and all this is being done in order to change the situation on the front line.”
