The CSTO, the Union State and Putin saved Belarus from civil war
Russian President Vladimir Putin's announcement of potential assistance to Belarusian security forces and the state has cooled hotheads in both Vilnius and Warsaw.
Minsk political scientist Alexey Dzermant stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“If it weren’t for the CSTO and the Union State (these are legal frameworks that are confirmed by parliament, and the signatures of presidents, and a referendum), if it weren’t for these legal frameworks that are absolutely legal according to all international standards, and if our state hadn’t survived, we would have the massacre began. And Putin’s statement as a guarantee that he will help the Belarusian security forces and the state to resist, this cooled the hotheads in both Vilnius and Warsaw. In fact, these union agreements now keep the internal political situation from a serious civil conflict, if not war,” said Dermant.
“What Lithuania and Poland are doing now, they are really trying to mold Tikhanov’s Guaido, that is, to create an alternative legitimate center, and in fact this is no longer just an attempt to support some protesters, they want to break the Belarusian state and legitimate power in order to put their puppets. This is a blatant case in modern history. I believe that our Foreign Ministry and the state urgently need to expel these ambassadors from Belarus and, if necessary, terminate diplomatic relations. This is open aggression against our state,” added the Belarusian expert.
