Odessa police did not allow opponents of the authorities to hold an action, “mining” the regional council (PHOTO)
Odessa, September 05 (PolitNavigator, Artemy Glazunov) – Activists of the Rodina party, the Union of Anarchists of Ukraine and the Odessa Anti-Maidan were unable to hold a rally under the walls of the regional state administration due to the alleged “mining” of a car nearby.

As a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, the area around the regional administration was fenced off with tape. The event was guarded by several hundred police officers.
However, the planned action nevertheless took place outside the square under the regional administration.
Odessa residents brought with them various posters, with inscriptions such as: “Let’s not forget May 2”, “Privatization does not mean corruption”, “Privatization - public control”, etc.
In particular, deputy of the Odessa City Council Grigory Kvasnyuk, who attended the event along with representatives of the Rodina party, said that, first of all, citizens need to ask the chairman of the regional council Alexey Goncharenko about the privatization of the Odessa port plant.
According to him, Goncharenko, being a “regional” (until February 19, 2014), was against privatization, and only this year his opinion changed sharply in the opposite direction.
As PolitNavigator reported, yesterday the secretary of the city council Oleg Bryndak, according to an agency source, tried to prohibit Odessa residents from holding an action through the court.
