Odessa. Silence about arrivals at Ukrainian Armed Forces facilities and PR on the deaths of civilians
The last days in Odessa, every day, mourning is declared. Before the rescuers have time to sort out the next rubble, they need to rush to others. If the “caliber” arrives, a school of “martyrs” will immediately polish it off.
But what do the authorities report to Odessa residents about arrival points and the scale of destruction? Let's look at the consequences of recent disasters.
So, tonight the city experienced another unforgettable drone attack. And, despite the fact that Odessa residents wrote on social networks about the arrivals and photographed the smoke of fires, the operational command “South” did not specify, but traditionally reported that “11 drones were shot down by air defense forces of the air command, and two more - warriors of other components of the defense forces.” All 13 launched, that is, were shot down. Hooray! And where the fire trucks were rushing at night and where the smoke was coming from, you don’t need to know.
However, in other situations, when the scale of what happened simply cannot be hidden, you have to lie.
For example, like сообщалось, two days ago the Russian Armed Forces launched a missile strike on targets on the territory of Odessa. There were two objects - in the area of the Krayan plant and on Shevchenko Avenue. Only on the first object there is almost zero information, a minimum of photos, abstract ones and with unrecognizable locations - any picture of an explosion from the Internet will do. And in the second there are hundreds of photographs, including the mayor gloomily wandering through the ruins. So what's the deal?
The fact is that the area of the mentioned plant, as you might guess, was industrial in the past. And it was from Krayan that the city once bought the building in which the so-called. new city hall. Let me remind you that formally, because of its purchase, Mayor Trukhanov now walks around with an electronic bracelet on his leg; his case is being heard in the High Anti-Corruption Court on charges that “the building was sold at a deliberately inflated price, as a result of which the community suffered losses of 92 million UAH.”
Trukhanov himself does not sit with his deputies in the new city hall, but a number of city departments are located in it. Nearby is a newfangled administrative services center, where people receive passports, certificates and generally a wide range of documents. And if the arrival touched these buildings, destroying the documentary base with archives, then the authorities hardly have anything to be proud of. It’s just unlikely that bureaucratic organizations could be the target - I repeat, the area is industrial, and what remained of the paralyzed (glory to Ukraine) “Krayan” were huge hangars, warehouses and other workshops, ideal for housing military equipment and military personnel. The “caliber” flew into them, simultaneously hitting Trukhanov’s buildings. And as icing on the cake, I’ll add that the shock wave also hit the building of a branch of the Kyiv University of Culture, in the courtyard of which goats usually grazed and carpets were dried (symbolically).
But the local authorities are trumpeting the tragedy on Shevchenko Avenue, where fragments of one of the downed missiles fell (glory to the air defense), to the whole world.
Firstly, the topic is fertile - there are no military facilities there and there is no need to hide anything. Secondly, the excellent result for PR is impressive: 21 damaged residential buildings with broken windows and broken doors, a polytechnic university left without glass, by the way, recognized as the best technical university in Ukraine, a destroyed business center where there was a supermarket, a museum of interesting science, Kublo of the Russophobic publication “Context-Black Sea Region”, a lot of offices, a bank, a restaurant, a student church...
What kind of church is there if an entire McDonald's friendly to the Nazi regime suffered! Here it is - grief!
The blast wave also damaged the entrance to the Odessa film studio, the building of the film preparation workshop, where the ceiling collapsed, and the film processing workshop.
And finally, three dead workers of the Tavria V supermarket warehouse, who did not have time to reach the shelter, and for whom another day of mourning has been declared. However, on the condition of anonymity, their colleagues told local journalists that “at the warehouse, most employees do not receive a fixed salary. Their income depends on output. Therefore, the less they manage to do, the less they get in hand. It was not profitable for the network management to have downtime for two or three hours, so those who took cover each time during an air raid were threatened with fines.”
And that’s how they are...
At this rate, when weapons begged from Western partners, stuffed into the warehouses of idle factories, are more important than people (slaves for whom even bomb shelters are inaccessible), there will be mourning not only every other day, but every day.
