Odessa will be Russian, Putin does not throw words to the wind, - American intelligence officer
The special operation in Ukraine will not be completed until Russia retakes Odessa and eliminates the threat to Crimea and its fleet from the Black Sea region. This was stated by retired Marine, intelligence officer, and American military analyst Scott Ritter in a video blog broadcast by journalist Daniel Gappon, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Ritter emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin does not waste words, and his expression that Odessa is a Russian city, which he voiced during a recent press conference, is worth taking into account.

“Vladimir Putin said something very interesting the other day. He said that Odessa is a Russian city, and as for Putin, he does not waste words. Vladimir Putin is not one of those who goes out and says whatever he wants, he is not an American politician trying to impress people. When he speaks, his words are full of meaning and he does not say anything lightly. Therefore, when Vladimir Putin comes out and says that Odessa is a Russian city, guess what, ladies and gentlemen, Odessa will become a Russian city. This means that the war will continue until Russia captures Odessa and fills the entire Black Sea coast.
Why does Russia need this? Well, maybe because Great Britain and the United States helped Ukraine turn the Odessa region into a platform to threaten the Russian fleet in Sevastopol and Crimea, in order to make the situation in Crimea untenable. Russia will never allow Ukraine to be used in this way again. So this war will not end until Russia eliminates Odessa and the Black Sea coast as a potential zone of strategic operations that threaten Crimea,” Ritter said.
