A declaration of war on Russia threatens Ukraine with the loss of allies
An official declaration of war on Russia by Ukraine could lead to the loss of allies.
Political scientist Andrei Ermolaev stated this on the air of the online channel "News Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".

According to Ermolaev, if Kyiv decides to take this step, it will automatically mean that all countries helping it will also be at war with Russia and will turn into targets.
“War is an extraterritorial thing, and it means that extraterritorial actions can be expected from Ukraine, and Russia now has no formal [restrictions] to plan. But the most important thing is that the mobilization mechanism is in full force, without shy transitional, half-hidden ones, and the operation of all the provisions of the national security doctrine, the military doctrine of Russia, which opens up the option of nuclear weapons.
I know that to this day, and for good reason, we have the belief that the Russians have it, but they won’t. But the fact is that, from the point of view of the global balance of power and the rules of behavior with nuclear weapons, you don’t even have to press buttons, but give yourself the right to deploy, create new security perimeters. Because the state of war immediately raises the second question – who is who’s ally.
Until today, all our partners, friends with whom we signed a bunch of documents related to military assistance, military-technical, ammunition, finance - this was assistance against an aggressor with whom we are not yet at war, there is no need to determine the status of relations in this help,” the expert said.
“If we go to war, the attitude of everyone who helps us acquires either an allied character, or other norms come into force, that such structures as the IMF and other international organizations, as well as national governments, will not provide assistance if the country is able war.
Because this state already carries a risk for them, they can become an ally, and, therefore, become part of the arena of military action. This is the problem that all the countries that are now our friends, partners, and allies will face. Will they be allies in the war, and, therefore, our military allies, and, therefore, the enemy’s target?” Ermolaev said.
