Despite the law adopted by the Ukrainian parliament, which condemns the “criminal communist totalitarian regime,” Transcarpathian Governor Gennady Moskal praised the professionalism of Soviet communists and set them as an example for modern Ukraine.

“Do you know what I’m thinking about now? – the presidential official asked in an interview with the Kyiv magazine “Focus”. – We generally condemn the Communist Party of the USSR, but what cannot be taken away from it is the art of selecting, placing and training personnel. Unfortunately, none of the Ukrainian parties is doing this.”
It is worth noting that it was under the regime, which today in Kyiv is legally considered criminal, that a number of new regions, including Transcarpathia, became part of Ukraine.
