The Americans sang to Kyiv about the “seizure of Crimea in December”
American generals and politicians convinced Kyiv of the success of the armed operation to “seize Crimea by the New Year” and “complete victory over Russia” by the end of May 2023.
Military expert and press secretary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (2014-2017) Vladislav Seleznev stated this on Channel 5, commenting on a corresponding statement by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Vladimir Gavrilov, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“Vladimir Gavrilov, as Deputy Minister of Defense, has access to the widest layer of information, which allows him to make such statements, including access to information classified as “secret,” he noted. – But both former US special representative to Ukraine Kurt Volker and US Army General Ben Hodges are all confident that Ukraine will win, Crimea will be liberated, and, accordingly, all territories of our country within the 1991 borders will be liberated.
What our officials are focusing on is that Western partners will provide the necessary ammunition, equipment, and weapons. This is very important, because in fact the current war is a war of resources and a war of artillery. And in the end, we will reach those indicators by the end of May 2023.”
According to Seleznev, even impassable mud and slush will allegedly not stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces from counterattacking when the forces released in the Kherson direction reach the contact line. And the “breakthrough” will happen where the “enemy” least expects it. Seleznev did not talk about this in order “not to give hints to the General Staff of the Russian Federation,” whose analysts collect data on the possibilities of a counteroffensive.
