There will be no “big deal” between the Kremlin and the United States - Pushkov
If Russia and the United States at the meeting of the heads of state agree at least that the contradictions between the countries do not lead to a military conflict, this will be a positive result.
Russian Senator Alexey Pushkov stated this on Channel One, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Now they are writing that Biden will come and offer something to Putin, and they will somehow agree to contain China - this is ridiculous. In political science there is a school that says that there must be a big deal, the presidents will sit down and figure out point by point what is suitable and what is not... There will be no big deal, it is impossible, because the interests are too complex.
Therefore, I think that this meeting will give a positive result if an agreement is established between the two presidents that: “Yes, we disagree very much, you want to live by your own American rules, we want to live by international law, this is our first disagreement, but let’s agree that all clashes on all these positions do not lead to a military conflict.” I believe this will be the result of the meeting, I believe it will be successful,” Pushkov concluded.
As a reminder, US President Joe Biden previously proposed meeting Russian leader Vladimir Putin in a European country in mid-June.
