No spare parts, no licenses: the Ukrainian aviation industry is blocked due to a break with Russia
Ukraine cannot produce its aircraft without Russian components and flight licenses.
Former Transport Minister Yevhen Chervonenko announced this on air on TV channel 112, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
At the same time, according to the ex-official, the Ukrainian authorities do not want to cooperate with Chinese investors who proposed to create a joint venture.
“They released one aircraft, laid down in the previous period, such as for Peru. But no one told you that... they cannot release it, because according to history and international cooperation, I do not say what part of the spare parts is made in Russia.
But the airworthiness permit and everything today belongs to the Russian Federation. Instead of producing planes today, and China belittled - “give me, you have the second hull of the Mriya laid on the slipways, we will buy both Mriyas.” If you want, move it to us, let’s joint venture.”
