Avakov also announced that soon all special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be replaced by a single elite unit called KOMD (Instant Action Corps).
The chief of police of the Kyiv region, Vadim Troyan, who was present at the event along with Avakov, expressed satisfaction with the fact that, in his opinion, trust in the police is growing in society.
Let us remember that Troyan is the same former deputy commander of the then neo-Nazi battalion “Azov”, photographs of whom wearing camouflage and swastika stripes resonated on the Internet last year, after his appointment to a position in the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Moreover, it was at Trojan's headquarters that young neo-Nazis staged a photo shoot with "Sieg-Wars ," which also caused widespread public backlash.
