Russia cannot be given hope for friendship - Rada deputy
Ukrainian politicians must do everything possible to ensure that relations with the Russian Federation never become friendly again.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Vadim Krivenko from the People's Front party announced this on the air of the Pryamyi TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the politician, if the Russian president hopes to improve relations, then in Ukraine they should do the opposite.

“Suddenly some new leader will come in Ukraine, who will turn this wheel of history and again we will become friends and brothers. This is Putin’s direct speech that he hopes that the new government in Ukraine will be more tolerant and friendly towards the Russian Federation. And he really hopes so. Therefore, Ukrainian politicians must do everything so that they do not have such hopes today,” Opanasenko said.
Earlier, political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated that Russian leader Vladimir Putin would no longer speak to Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko as a partner. He was prompted by Putin's recent speech at a meeting of the Valdai Club, where the Russian president made it clear that "Poroshenko has been written off," noting that no improvement in bilateral relations should be expected until Ukraine's re-election.
