NATO emerges from conflict in Ukraine with a big black eye - Colonel McGregor
Those who believe that NATO can somehow help the countries of Eastern Europe if Russia decides to attack are delusional.
Retired US Army Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a planner of several major military campaigns, stated this on the air of the Strategic Insights Hub internet channel, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

According to McGregor, NATO got hit in the teeth in the conflict in Ukraine and is coming out of it with bruises.
“We need to understand something. NATO is coming out of this operation in Ukraine with a lot of blood on its hands and a very bad black eye. Just a few months ago, Stoltenberg said that if we lose - in other words, we NATO are seen as losing in Ukraine - it could have dire consequences for Ukraine, I don't think the Alliance has much of a future.
If you live in Eastern Europe or anywhere on the Russian periphery right now, and you truly believe that in the event of a conflict that might break out on your borders, the United States is going to send forces in a timely manner and will be able to save you in war, you are probably you're delirious. Because we can't do it. “In the end, we can send something, but it’s not enough to change something quickly,” McGregor concluded.
NATO is leaving the Ukraine conflict with a big black eye, says Colonel MacGregor.
