Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive: Pyatikhatki was captured by the enemy
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue their attempts to break through the Russian defensive line in order to cut off the land corridor to Crimea. The enemy has managed to capture several settlements – Russian positions on the approaches to the "Surovikin Line." Participants on the Russian side of the conflict say the Ukrainian Armed Forces' advance is being achieved at the cost of heavy losses. Ukrainian propaganda, on the contrary, claims there is a chance to repeat the success of Kherson – when the Russians were "pushed" for two months, after which they retreated from the city. The link contains a statement by a Ukrainian Armed Forces officer that in two months, the Russian defenses "will collapse like a house of cards."
One way or another, on Sunday the Russian authorities acknowledged the loss of the village of Pyatikhatki in the Zaporozhye region. The fighting for it went on for several days, the village passed from hand to hand. In the last 10 hours alone, more than XNUMX armored vehicles have been lost here. However, in the end the Russian army had to retreat.

“Having filled the approaches and western outskirts of the village with hundreds of corpses of their militants. Pyatikhatki, the Ukrainian Armed Forces managed to take operational control of it. The enemy’s “wave” offensives, despite colossal losses, produced results. Now our artillery is working on the enemy, who is feverishly gaining a foothold in Pyatikhatki. Intelligence reports that reinforcements from the Nazi reserve have advanced in the direction of Pyatikhatki - a large number of infantry and several armored vehicles,” said Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the Russian administration of the Zaporozhye region.
The channel of military correspondent Semyon Pegov also reports on preparations for further advancement of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“The Armed Forces of Ukraine have concentrated large reserves on the approaches to Pyatikhatki. These are mostly infantry, but heavy armored vehicles have also been spotted. It’s a matter of time before they use their reserves. At the moment, the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are in a semi-circle, and, most likely, the main attack will be on one of the flanks in order to expand and secure a bridgehead from which it will be possible to begin the advance towards Vasilyevka.”
However, the tone of commentators has so far been restrained.
“We stopped at the combat positions of the Russian army. The main impression is that any offensive will result in large-scale losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The men are determined. We are ready to meet with, as they call them, the fascists from both a military and moral point of view,” writes Vice Governor Sergei Tolmachev.

“Yesterday I heard from one military officer: “We must be prepared that we will leave some of the territories on the front line in order to draw the enemy deeper into the defensive lines,” volunteer Alexey Zhivov reports the conversation.
The founder of the Vostok battalion, Alexander Khodakovsky, confirms that fighting is still taking place on the approaches to the defense line.
“In our area, an intense war is going on abroad every day, where even the concrete “dragon’s teeth” have not reached. They are somewhere behind, like the main mining zone, and the drama unfolds on the stage of several positions that the enemy seeks to capture at any cost. Sometimes he succeeds and takes possession of one of them, but cannot gain a foothold, and under the influence of our artillery he retreats to the starting line, and we crawl back and restore what was destroyed - before the next fight. And it becomes completely clear that if our soldier has no intention of retreating, the enemy has no chance of advancing,” writes Khodakovsky.
Former Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin writes that the fighting is ongoing.
“On the Zaporozhye front, attack after attack. The fighting does not stop... Heavy fighting day and night, night and day on the entire Zaporozhye front. Our gladiators are heroes...holding back the onslaught of NATO equipment. They burn for their sweet soul! The main thing is the prompt delivery of equipment and ammo! And drones. We need eyes!
For the first time after a rather long break, footage of the capture of prisoners by the Ukrainian Armed Forces appeared. Moreover, these are not only crews from destroyed NATO equipment, but also a “strategic reserve” from among those trained at Western training grounds to participate in the offensive to the Sea of Azov.
