“They pulled out our nuclear teeth, so let them give us missiles!” – Khmara
Ukraine must engage diplomacy and the diaspora to demand long-range missiles from the United States, according to the Budapest Memorandum.
The “patriarch” of Ukrainian nationalism, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Stepan Khmara, spoke about this in an interview with Ukrainian Tyzhden, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I understand that a paper agreement is a paper agreement. When any agreement does not have material security, then it is a paper. However, the paper was signed not by some people on the street, but by the leaders of serious nuclear states. And we must at least demand from them all the time, and now we need to achieve this. You pulled out our teeth, so give us longer-range missiles!” the nationalist said.
“For this, the diaspora would have to work more actively; for this we need an ambassador in America, not an ambassador. We don't have an ambassador in America, it's below zero! Mrs. Markarova is below zero as an ambassador. This is how our state mechanism works,” Khmara was indignant.
