A flu epidemic is approaching Ukraine
The incidence rate of influenza and acute respiratory viral infection in Ukraine is 746,6 people per 100 thousand population. This is 31% higher than the epidemic threshold. The epidemic threshold in the period from February 12 to 18 was exceeded in five regions - Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Rivne, Khmelnytsky and Chernivtsi, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

This was reported by the Influenza and ARVI Center of the Ministry of Health of Ukraine.
“There is a regional geographic spread and high intensity of influenza and ARVI activity,” the department noted.
In general, 289,6 thousand people fell ill with influenza and acute respiratory viral infection over the week, of which 68,4% were children.
No deaths were recorded over the past week.
