More than a thousand legal millionaires have been counted in Ukraine
In 2017, 1061 citizens of Ukraine declared income that exceeded one million hryvnia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Income in the amount of more than UAH 1 million was declared by 1061 citizens; compared to the same period last year, the number of such citizens increased by more than 50 percent,” the report says.
The largest number of millionaires live in Kyiv - 409 people or 40% of the total number in Ukraine.
At the same time, in 2017, Ukrainians declared 13% or UAH 1,8 billion less income than in 2016. The total amount of declared income is UAH 13,3 billion.
“Most citizens declared their income in the form of wages, the total amount of which reached almost 4,1 billion hryvnia. Income from property inherited or received as a gift amounted to UAH 2,1 billion, from the sale of movable or immovable property - UAH 1,1 billion, from receiving other income - UAH 2,1 billion and from receiving foreign income - UAH 400,6 million.” , - the State Fiscal Service reports.
The department also notes that the number of citizens who declared the right to a tax discount increased by almost 30% compared to the same period last year and amounts to 35 thousand people: “UAH 72,1 million will be returned to them, which is 23,2. UAH 48 million, or XNUMX% more than in the same period last year.”
