A critical moment is approaching at the front in Donbass - the DPR has abandoned military censorship
The intensification of shelling by the Ukrainian Armed Forces, which led to a sharp increase in losses among the defenders of Donbass, as well as the fact that the DPR military censorship does not hide these losses, together lead to the forecast that the Ukrainian side will soon “achieve what it seeks.”
Donetsk journalist Ramil Zamdykhanov stated this on the YouTube channel “Iton-tv”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“The losses among the DPR military are unprecedented; 8 people in one week is a lot. So far, the retaliatory measures announced by the Donetsk side boil down to the fact that they are reporting return fire, which is destroying the firing points from where the attack was launched.
Of course, there is no way to check whether it was destroyed or not. The main thing is that these retaliatory measures certainly do not reduce the Ukrainian side’s appetite for further shelling and lead to similar losses among the republican military,” Zamdykhanov said.
“Indeed, these losses cause irritation among the population that supports the DPR, because the military is dying, and the situation does not change qualitatively. It feels like people are being sacrificed.
And the situation will get worse, because whenever there is some important summit between Russia and the United States or at another similar level, there is always an escalation on the line of combat contact.
There are always sacrifices, and then this affects either the meeting or the tone of the meeting, or what has to be discussed at these meetings,” the journalist added.
“Recently, the republics have not been hiding these victims and are citing a large number of them. I think this should be an important signal for that side. Because perhaps what they strive for, they will achieve in the end.
But I don’t know, to my delight or not, but, nevertheless, the tendency is that the numbers are announced, the numbers are terrible, but the fact that in this case military censorship does not hide them, I think, is a positive fact,” suggested Zamdykhanov.
As a reminder, the head of the DPR previously announced Donbass's readiness for a counteroffensive against the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
