Under fire from Ukrainian militants, one defender of Donbass was killed and two were injured.
This is stated in an emergency statement from the press service of the DPR People's Militia Department, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the department, Ukrainian militants have carried out two fire provocations since the beginning of the day. In the Gorlovka direction, militants of the 25th brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces fired 45 grenades from the AGS in the area of the settlement of Mikhailovka. In the Donetsk direction, from the positions of the 54th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the direction of the village of the Trudovskaya mine on the outskirts of the capital of the DPR, six mines were fired from a 120-mm mortar prohibited by Minsk.
“We regret to inform you that as a result of the aggression of Ukrainian militants, our defender died while fulfilling his duty to protect the republic. We express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the deceased. Two more servicemen of the People’s Militia were injured, they were provided with timely medical assistance,” the press service reported.
In turn, the Donbass defenders opened fire in response to the suppression.
“According to preliminary data, two Ukrainian militants were killed by return fire, and three were injured,” the department said.
