Muraev named the culprit behind the split in the Party of Regions
The split among the former “regionals” occurred after the return of the former head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Viktor Medvedchuk to politics.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Murayev stated this on the Nash TV channel, a correspondent reports. "PolitNavigator".

Muraev emphasized that he is in favor of uniting all representatives of south-eastern Ukraine into one political bloc.
“I was categorically against it when a conflict arose between Rabinovich and Lyovochkin. If you bring up all my speeches and everything else, I never supported this conflict and was just talking about uniting all sensible forces.
But if we started talking about the Party of Regions, I want to remind you that Viktor Medvedchuk was never there. And it was with his appearance that amazing things began to happen with the Opposition Bloc. It was not someone who split it, but it was this association in “OPZZh” that split the party, which was essentially the legal successor of the “Party of Regions,” judging by the composition of people’s deputies and politicians who were present in it,” said Muraev.
At the same time, the politician emphasized that without the votes of voters from Crimea and Donbass, representatives of the southeast will not be able to win a majority of seats in the Verkhovna Rada.
“The south-east does not have enough votes to defeat all that we have been fighting for the last six years. Well, we don’t have Crimea and we don’t have Donbass. Even if we all unite, then with the ideology of the southeast we will take a maximum of 30%. 70% will still be the same Galician ideology, which essentially makes the country neo-Nazi, I can’t call it anything else,” the ex-people’s deputy complains.
