Lugansk, October 28 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The commander of the “Ghost” battalion, Alexei Mozgovoy, said that in the proclaimed Lugansk People’s Republic there is a “people’s court”.

“Unfortunately, the judicial system has not yet been developed. Two rapists were tried. The people acquitted one of them. It will be on his conscience. The population of the city decided to execute the second. We don’t leave things to chance (compliance with the law - editor’s note),” Mozgovoy said during an online conversation with ATO participants, representatives of parties and Ukrainian public organizations.
“An investigation was conducted along all lines, a lot of people were interviewed, and evidence was collected. Materials were provided to the public. It took place at the House of Culture. You'll see on air... Our law is in effect. Even though it’s popular,” says Mozgovoy.
“The institutional viability of both Maidan and Anti-Maidan is the same,” commented lawyer Tatyana Montyan. In her opinion, the legitimacy of making collective decisions on the Maidan and the people’s court is the same.
“You didn’t follow any procedure. The competence of the people on the Maidan to overthrow the legally elected government is under the same doubt,” she noted.
