Moscow does not take Poroshenko’s anti-Russian rhetoric seriously – Pogrebinsky
The Kremlin does not pay attention to the anti-Russian hysteria from the lips of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, since Moscow understands that the Ukrainian guarantor is flirting with nationalists and American patrons.
Political scientist Mikhail Pogrebinsky stated this on the TopInform channel, according to whom anti-Russian rhetoric allows Poroshenko to stay afloat and show the West that he is the main enemy of Russia and only him needs to be supported.

“No one in the Kremlin takes Poroshenko’s rhetoric seriously. The Kremlin is well aware that everything Poroshenko says, he says, first of all, for internal use and for the American ear. Simultaneously to two such addresses. For the internal, because he is afraid of nationalists and believes that if he expresses a moderate anti-Russian position, then this will be enough to consolidate nationalist radical forces and declare him a friend of Putin,” the political scientist said.
In his opinion, Poroshenko’s coalition partners – Avakov, Yatsenyuk, Turchynov – are interested in the president becoming softer towards Russia in order to accuse him of betrayal.
“Moscow understands perfectly well that he acts this way solely in order to present himself as the main enemy of Russia and therefore specifically chooses expressions that are as offensive as possible to Russia. At the same time, it is important for Poroshenko to emphasize that he will not allow any compromise with Putin. The Americans are confident that they can only allow Poroshenko a compromise that suits them, and not an autonomous agreement between Poroshenko and Putin. Therefore, they do not trust Yulia Tymoshenko, believing that she can play her own game with Putin. And Poroshenko, with his expressions, shows in every possible way that there can be no game of his own with Putin,” Pogrebinsky said.
