Moscow will not surrender Donbass, there are no illusions about lifting sanctions
Russia will not agree to surrender Donbass through the Minsk agreements and will not allow a military solution to the conflict. Political scientist Sergei Mikheev stated this on Day TV.
According to him, both Kiev and the United States understand that Russia will not allow the Donbass republics to be captured by force.

“As for Donbass, here we make it absolutely clear that there is no military solution from Kyiv, and I don’t really believe in all this Internet stuff about us draining Donbass. If we had drained it, then no one would have been there long ago, they would have been ironed long ago, and all these issues would have been resolved in a week.
We will not allow a military takeover of Donbass, both the Americans and those in Kyiv understand this very well. We will also not agree to surrender through the Minsk agreements, because this does not give us anything.
It is pointless to seriously hope for the lifting of sanctions, and the Kremlin is aware of this. We view the Minsk process as a way to change today’s Ukraine,” Mikheev assures.
