In Ukraine, a flash mob called “Kyiv is not Kiev” is being launched, the essence of which is the requirement to write a transcription of the name of the capital in the Ukrainian, not Russian, manner.

“Panov, let’s come up with and launch an action/campaign (or several) together, as a result of which the whole world, and most importantly, Ukrainians, will write Kyiv in English, not Kiev. And at airports, including Ukrainian ones, they will write Kyiv. Kyiv International Airport. and Facebook tag foreigners in Kiev, not Kyiv. It is important what language the entire English-speaking world associates our capital with. The most important thing in the conditions of information war,” the website says.
