Peace in Donbass will come after Russia recognizes the LDPR
Russia's recognition of the independence of Abkhazia and South Ossetia ensured peace for these republics, unlike Donbass.
VGTRK military correspondent Alexander Sladkov stated this on air on the Rossiya-1 TV channel.
“Ten years have passed. The main result for me is that after the recognition of South Ossetia and Abkhazia, not a single shot was fired. And in Donbass they shoot and kill every day,” Sladkov said.

At the same time, he believes that Russia should not spoil relations with Ukraine and Georgia.
“Sooner or later we will have to sit down at the negotiating table and look each other in the eye. One of the topics is to pit us against each other forever in both Ukraine and Georgia. Therefore, you need to be careful,” Sladkov said.
