The world is on the verge of another split. Central Europe will lose again - Hungarian Foreign Ministry
Central Europe, including Hungary, will once again lose out from the East-West conflict. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó stated this while speaking at the UN, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to the diplomat, the world is on the verge of another split into blocs, and this is clearly visible to those who are close to the conflict, and not “overseas.”

"We are dealing with the immediate consequences of this war – we have accepted over a million refugees, we are experiencing high inflation, and we are paying extremely high energy prices. I assure my colleagues that war looks completely different when it's in your neighbors than across an ocean. Thousands of people are dying, the country is being destroyed – this is a daily experience. However, there are also long-term risks that the world will once again split into blocs. Our country is located in Central Europe – we know well from historical experience that if there is no opportunity for civilized cooperation between East and West, we will lose . And we don't want to lose again," Szijjártó stated.
