Members of the Mejlis joined the agitation for autocephaly of the Ukrainian local Orthodox Church and the provision of a Tomos from the Ecumenical Patriarch.
Thus, in his blog, propagandist Ayder Muzhdabaev, who participated in last year's gay pride parade and considers himself an atheist, stated that if the Ukrainian schismatics are granted the Tomos, the so-called "Kyiv Patriarchate" will become the largest Orthodox church in the world, reports a correspondent for PolitNavigator.
“If a single Ukrainian Orthodox Church is created, then it turns out that there are more real parishioners who are practicing believers in Ukraine than on the territory of the Russian Federation. The Ukrainian Church, the Orthodox, becomes the largest Orthodox Church in the world. This is not a joke. Of course, if this happens, and I am sure that this will happen, then everything, the hegemony of Moscow as the bearer of imperial Orthodoxy, will be disrupted. There will be such a church somewhere near the Kremlin, a hut. And the real influence will be in Ukraine,” said Muzhdabaev.
